Online web dev hackathon
Build hot. Ship smoked.
Forty-eight hours. Any stack. One browser tab is all you need to ship something strange and a little bit great.
Smoking Fish is a fully online web dev hackathon for people who like their ideas a bit smoky. Join solo or with a team of up to four, build a working website or web app from scratch, and demo it live to the community. Beginners and veterans are both welcome.
Dates and times are not confirmed yet. Register to get the final schedule first.
The theme drops live. Find a team in the chat and start sketching.
Write code, break things, fix them. Mentors answer questions in the help channels all weekend.
Push your repo, share a live link and record a one-minute walkthrough.
Every team gets three minutes on stage. Judges and the community vote on the winners.
React, Svelte, plain HTML or something you made up last night. Use what you like.
Start your project after kickoff. Libraries and open-source tools are fair game.
Go solo or squad up. Everyone on the team must register.
Our code of conduct applies in every channel. Break the code, not each other.
